I have the most amazing girl - in all the land....

My girl, she's sweet. She's thoughtful. She's kind.

She asks for permission. She says she's sorry when she feels she's done something wrong. And asks if you "feel better" when she knows you're hurt - her classmates, the pups, her family - it doesn't matter.

"You okay, Mommy?" she often asks.

"You feel better now, Mommy" she insists...after she administers a bandaid or just a sincere look of concern.

I have the most amazing girl in all the land.

She asks me to 'sit closer'. She invites me to come with her constantly. She requests my songs, but doesn't let me dance (she can't be perfect, right?!)

My girl is smart. She has a memory like an elephant and she's only 2 and a half. She waits when I ask her to wait. She's patient when I tell her it will come later.

I have the most amazing girl in all the land.

I know it won't last. Not in this definitive way. And that's okay. At her core, through our ups and downs, she will always be my most amazing girl.

Thank you for teaching me patience, my sweet peach. Thank you for teaching me consistency and attention to detail. I will never be perfect, but I will try to be my absolute best...in all the land...for you, my amazing girl.

I love you,
Mommy
